What is elversberg fc?

Elversberg FC is a German football club based in Spiesen-Elversberg, Saarland. They were founded in 1921 and play their home games at the Waldstadion Kaiserlinde, which has a capacity of 6,500 spectators.

The club rose to prominence in the 1990s and 2000s, winning promotion to the Regionalliga Südwest in 2004 and later to the 3. Liga in 2013. However, they were relegated back to the Regionalliga in 2015.

Elversberg FC has a strong youth academy and has produced several players who have gone on to play in the Bundesliga and for the German national team. The club's most notable achievement to date was reaching the third round of the DFB-Pokal (German Cup) in 2005-06, where they were eliminated by Borussia Dortmund.
